Here's a photo of a KB GT500 with SVT PP wheels. Looks like this is about as close as I'll get for a while...

Thanks. Following your lead I actually just stopped by AutoZone on the way home tonight and picked up a bottle of flat black touch up paint with a small brush. Before touching it up, I took a .22 caliber cleaning brush to clean up the remaining burrs and that worked great.

I'm thinking about it at some point. The first obstacle is figuring out whether I can get some Race Ramps that would allow me to load/unload on my tilt bed trailer. Even with the standard Boss splitter I drag it for a few inches on the diamond plate so I know it won't go with the LS splitter. Otherwise, I'm up against getting a new enclosed trailer with a very low bed and fold out ramps. That's not as big of a deal as the fact that then I'd need a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup to pull it. I'm pretty much maxed out with my F-150 on the current setup.

My buddy puts some 2x6 step-block "ramps" behind the rear tires of his F250 then backs up onto them to get some more downward angle on is trailer to drop off his race car...food for thought!

Something like this?

If that isn't a low enough angle, they have extenders which will make it an extremely low angle.

I know this is an expensive solution but you mentioned getting an enclosed trailer. How about a rollback trailer? I've seen them in action and they just might work. I'm hoping to find someone local that has one so I can see if I can load the LS without taking off the front splitter.

There are several different brands but this link has a video do you can see how it works.

Certainly looks like a viable option. I noticed he was able to get the door open, but doesn't look like it clears the fenders. I had mine custom built with a lower fender (barely clears trailer tires) so I can get in and out of it without playing Ricky Bobby. I'm assuming I could mount my winch up front behind the rock shield, but would want to check that too. Very interested in hearing what you find out about clearing the LS splitter.

Please PM me the last 5 digits of the serial number so I can add this car to the registry database... I am guessing this was a very late May, early June build.

Good luck on closing the deal!!
