What do you think it will take to hit 500whp NA with a Boss

I have been dying for a thread update on the dude getting his Boss worked on right now. It seems it will be a while before we hear anything so i got to wondering. I might be happy with 500whp, i think the boss already has very close to the same whp my blown 10 has. What do you guys think it will take to hit 500whp on a boss without a blower? Is that even going to be possible? Thoughts anyone?

I think the Boss is the wrong car to buy if you're interested in a dyno queen.

Agreed - won't make 500 RWHP in naturally aspirated trim. If you want mega dyno numbers, buy a Shelby

I'm not sure even with long tube headers, no cats, etc. that you will see 500 hp. I think the stock 444 crank hp is going to be enough to get me in a lot of trouble if I don't behave myself.

Just drop a 5.4 in it with a blower.

Unless you're finding 10/10ths of the car on the track, I really don't see why a new car with as much engineering and technology as the Boss needs additional power or modification save for brake pads, brake fluid, and tires.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has lots of respect for both the LAW and 444 hp. Still, as Oscar Wilde said, "I can resist anything, except temptation."

...and race gas!

Exactly.

I just have a GT with the boss intake, a tune, and a cold air intake. Its more power than I need at a road course, I doubt I'll do any further power-adding modifications because containing and controlling that power is what the car needs most now.

Agreed........ I have already been stopped! Lucky for me I knew the cop. However, I do think he was checking out the ride as said to screw it.

I do want to take off the internal baffle I heard it sounds a little better (Motortrend 05/12).

Mine came wthout Recaro. I will order soon. Trackey not activated yet I knew more about the car than the dealer did. The lead mechanic knew his s..t so that will be activated Monday. That being said what a dream to drive!!!

If by that you mean Trackey will be activated monday, it's not released yet so it can't be activated. Just as a heads up..
