Yes, havin' a blast, i have to totally get used to the really short throw when shifting, and the torque kicks in completely different thus me want to drive alot faster :-)
Well i can see the car from my kitchen window and said, yup OK its still there Whew, not just a dream!

Congrats on your Boss, love the color. The short-throw shifter on my 2012 Shelby gave me the fits at first because none of my other manuals are like that.
It's great to see a lady boss owner on the forum and I hope you keep posting. When I first joined this forum I logged in as "BossLady" because I had purchased a Race Red 302. Delivery issues and time constraints caused me to finally pull the plug and buy my Shelby.
If there's one close to you, please attend a HPDE or HP school. You'll learn loads about the car and even more about yourself. After just 2 weekends on the track, the "Pig" and I are becoming fast friends. We are not fast as some; but actually faster than other 302s we've encountered out there. Of course this also applies to other makes of car, its just some 302 owners think the Shelby should be relegated solely to the dragstrip. (LOL) It was a real shocker to me to get out of my car after a session and have some of the guys I passed giving me the![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
These new Mustangs are awesome out there. Go learn and have some real fun with your car!!!

LadyBoss - just noticed you also have a Jeep Wrangler as your DD. Excellent car combination. +1 for the HD school. Worth every penny. You'll get the hang of the short shifter in no time. I installed one in my MINI about 5 years ago and would never go back. I've actually toyed with changing to a shorter shifter in the Jeep as well. Once you get used to it, everything else will just seem wrong.

Thanks so much bout mentioning the short shifting, i was beginning to think i was a bit of a spaz but i have been riding Harleys for more than 20 years... so i was just waiting for my brain to sync with it! Yes, the Wrangler doesnt have a short throw and that is part of my prob ;-P
Man that thing is a gorilla ha.
Ya, i like to think i am ready for any apocolypse or hurricane synario with this combo of vehicles !!!! I went with the 4 door 4x4 to make sure i can get my 5 dogs out! Ya i did say 5, crazy right!?
The Orange Boss is my dream car, i couldnt be happier with a machine ;-)
Now i want to build some racing skills. Hope to see you out there !

You might go back and read the thread about "car is built and awaiting delievery" to see how some of us went through the process.
I waited about four or five months for a VIN #.
