you guys would have sold with what was offered, its my terms or I'm rolling #0001. Payoff 0001, buy me the same car free and clear and #1 can be in your collection.

Ok gotcha. That would pretty much be my same conditions as well. You should propose that to Leno, I'm sure he'd go for it

I sincerely doubt it. The first 2012 retail production standard Boss (ShaneM's) is not the same as having the first retail Laguna Seca, or the first 2012 Boss ever. The 2012s are not as significant as the 69s...blah blah blah

In the big scheme of things, the 2012 Boss Laguna Seca is kind of like the 2007 GT500 and the 2003 Mach1. How valuable are those #1's?? And the #1 standard Boss (ShaneM's) would fall somewhere south of there.

A person knows they have something special when the auction houses call every day trying to get the owner to consign. Only ShaneM knows how often the auction houses have called him.

Reading that ShaneM was seriously entertaining offers, I hope I never see him post in the future about how greedy dealers are who want more than MSRP for their cars LOL

Oh, the shoe on the other foot? Such irony of possibilities!

I'd keep it. With the way you fell into it, and what it represents, there's no way I'd get rid of it. If you love cars, especially these, that's just priceless man. Keep it!!!!!!

ill certainly keep it, that said i really want a boss and if i could have this same car free and clear and not have to worry that some dumb *** teen is going to nail me and total out the first one while texting i would feel a lot better. I'd hate to see anything happen to the car, but i want to drive it so i worry lol

most of the people that have made offers so far have no idea what these cars are. these are guys that think just because you see them on cars.com with a price that says msrp, it means they are really selling at list price. i had a guy get mad because i wouldn't take $10k over what i paid. he told me no one in their right mind would give more than that for the car. the first guy that tried to buy it offered a lot more than that and i turned him down. anyway, i stuck it to the man with this car and got a little revenge for all you that had to pay over.

you really think that? this is the first and only #1 2012 boss 302 that any consumer can possibly have. the lowest number LS car for the public was #021. the blue one doest count it was no in the same production range, the car show cars are numbered differently. As far as production cars this is as good as it gets LS or not. the first boss 302 in 30 years and number 1 has no value or at least not as much as the 21 LS car galpin has for 108K? mecum did offer me a spot to consign the car in one of their auctions but said they didn't know what it would bring.

Shane..life is too short. Drive the car and enjoy it. Does anyone think the first original Boss was a trailer queen...I think not. These cars are meant to be driven.

Obviously, if someone offers you the deal you outlined...well you may want to consider it.

Also, consider keeping it, driving it and passing it along to one of your children who shows a real interest in cars. Let them know that one day it will be theirs. Let them help maintain it. Work on it together. That's bang for your buck. Enjoy!!

no idea, in my mind this car is on a different level though, the boss is arguably the mustang to have from the 60's and judging buy the furor i have seen on my car the general public thinks the new ones are special too. and to be honest, the only car out of all of those that ever piqued my interest, and i am a serious mustang fan boy was the termi. the others didn't move me at all.

Having a six figure icon without paying six figures. It's a great story.

And no Barrett-Jackson ex-cons making a penny. FANTASTIC!
