Tire wear
Tire wear
Anyone else noticing fast and uneven wear on the Boss tires? I'm running correct air pressure and have primarily been commuting at this point. A definitive wear line appears on the outer edges of the tire contact patch.
If the alignment from Ford is like it was on my GT, I don't think there's enough camber. I wore the outer edges with the factory settings, especially on track (I don't remember what they were, but it was very little negative camber, and 1/4" toe in). The toe exaggerates the wear from lack of camber.
Now I'm 1.5* camber and 1/8" toe out, and I'm sure the wear has moved more inbound.

I have about 5K on the Hankook Ventus tires Kendall @ Cooltech recommended to save the stocks on my LS for track days. Wear is even and smooth. I run 34 PSI and they seem to be lasting well. All settings are stock.

Factory camber on the Boss is -0.95 and zero toe. At least that's what it was when I had mine checked before putting in c/c plates. The negative camber is most likely from the Boss being lowered 1/2" in front versus the GT. I am now at -2.2 and track wear is perfectly even across the face of the tire and no visible wear on my street tires. I have 10k miles on my GT500 and -2.0 degrees with no excess wear on the insides.
Are you cornering aggressively? Could be the tire rolling over in hard corners. Otherwise, you should have your alignment checked to see if the toe is off. That will certainly cause premature front tire wear.
