Canada is getting 300 or 350 (I can't remember which). We usually get 10% of the US production, so my bet is that 1500 is an incorrect number.

While this thread is somewhat useful in finding how many people are able to get MSRP or under deals, I know from the GT500 experience you don't get good data on the people that had to pay over MSRP. For whatever reason, many people won't say they had to pay an ADM to get the car when they want it, from where they want. Most likely the average market price is just over MSRP for the Boss, and I'm "guessing" $5k to $10k over for Laguna Secas that are early cars. (i.e. 1st or 2nd qtr build)

1500 was the number I was told for the 2012 model year. Maybe 3000+ for two years?

Based on past history of feature Mustangs, that volume sounds low. I would think it would be difficult to get a solid return on investment, especially given engineering changes and testing for the engine, suspension, wheel/tire combos, etc.

I suppose we will see.

I know it's only a survey, so it's not nearly as accurate as a census.
[<cough> Hear that Stephen Harper? </cough>]
That said, since it's anonymous I'm hoping people will be more open to responding. Indeed, we've just picked up a couple of MSRP+ votes for the LS.

Probably not. I'm sure it will be small, but not that small.

This sounds more accurate. If Canada gets 10%, that would make total MY production at approx 3500 BOSS' with the estimated 500 LS' making up the remaining speculated 4K total allotment per MY.

According to Product Planning the Mustang BOSS is projected at 6% total for Boss and LS combined from all Mustangs built for 2012 MY.

If your number of 1500 this model year is accurate, then that would mean Ford is making 25,000 Mustangs in order for it to be 6% of the total.

Is 25,000 builds too few? Anyone know total builds for 2010 or as yet not done, 2011?

Yes it is. 2009 sales were 66,623 according to this article: http://mustangs.about.com/b/2010/01/...es-in-2009.htm and for 2010 they were 68,264 through November according to this article: http://www.mustangheaven.com/2010/no...gures-ruh-roh/

Okay, then my "guess" for 2012 BOSS is 3450 and for the LS is 690. Based on a guess of 69,000 total built.

I guess here is my thing. My dealer is not "on the list." Is this going to be as simple as placing an order and waiting until sometime later this spring?

From what I understand any dealer can place an order, but only dealers that received allocations will have their orders filled. You can read about it in many places, but here's one article:

Well, I am not going to do that, since it's my hometown dealership, and that's where I am going to buy my cars, which might sound silly, but it is what it is.
