That's good to hear. Are you paying for a Dealer prep charge also?

Hmmm, I saw that ad yesterday but I could swear that it had a starting price of $1500. Maybe he changed it because he wasn't getting any takers.

Is the 2012 Boss eligible for X Plan discounts through MCA? If it's not an SVT vehicle, other than limited production, at what price (MSRP, added ADM or discount) should dealers sell the car?

"Buyer beware" on that one. What assurance would you have the selling dealer would even honor the transfer? If I was the dealer I would be selling the car to a good customer, not someone trying to profit from their place in line. This thing should have alarm bells going off all over it.

Talked to 2 dealers in the last 2 days that have LS allocations. One said he would be $5K over and the other said he would be over but didn't specify. My search continues.

I have one dealer that would sell the std. Boss at $1K under but I really had my heart set on a LS. Not sure which way to go.

If you really want the LS, keep looking, you'll find one at a great price.

Just worked with the new GM at my dealer and he agreed to sell me the
Boss I had ordered at MSRP. Earlier he was hesitant since dealers don't really know what the car will be worth in the coming economic environment. The zone rep was at the dealership and the GM put the order through.

Congratulations! I don't think you can go wrong locking in at MSRP. The above poster that got it for $1k under did very well. I think the economy while still soft is improving. That, in combination with spring on the horizon will work to drive prices up in the near term....down by later next year most likely.

You are exactly where I was 2-3 weeks ago. I finally decided I wanted the car this spring and not to deal with all the BS trying to find a reasonable deal on an LS (that I likely wouldn't have had on track for 18 months from now) and ordered the regular Boss in a color I personally like better than the LS.

I looked at it this way. For $5k less MSRP and $5k-$10k ADM I can buy a lot of mods. If you can get it for $1k under MSRP that is even better.

Good luck in your search

Having a copy of the survey in hand helped get me the car at MSRP.

What I've heard from two reliable sources, Boss production in 2012 is 1500 units.
