I, along with a few other forum members here and on the other Boss-specific forums, have installed this system in our cars. Closest you'll get to an OEM solution for iPod in a 2012 Boss and it works.

Bought mine from a vendor on Amazon.com earlier this year.

And how it works? Do you like it? Steering controls? Radio show iPod info?

Thank you!

It works great. Installation was straightforward; I was able to install it without fully removing the console upper panel but the center stack bezel, radio head unit and display has be removed.

You control the iPod using the steering wheel buttons once you've selected your music using the factory head unit. It uses the head unit presets for 'menu,' 'select/OK' and random mode options and then uses the radio tuning **** in place of the iPod's scroll wheel to move through the songs, artists, playlists, etc. The radio displays the iPod information, but it only displays one line of data (i.e., just song title currently playing) which I thought was odd given the display can show multiple lines with the radio on.

It takes a minute to get used to cycling through the menus and finding the song, album, artist or playlist you want, but honestly once you get the hang of it there's really nothing to it.

On a 10 scale with 10 being the best, I'd rate it a 9 overall.
