Steeda 302R wing
I really like the 302R wing. I did a bit of searching on the forum and contacted Steeda. There are apparently some issues:
The 302R wing is designed for the 2009 Mustang. It sounds like it will require new mount holes. Also, and more importantly, it is too wide and will clip the antenna. This will require cutting or removing the antenna.
They do have a 2010-12 wing that is similar but less substantial. Also, no carbon fiber winglet options. Has anyone tried this with a street vehicle? Does anyone think the 2010-12 version is as good?

There is also this race version. Has anyone tried this one?

I have the 302R wing. Antenna is easy. Just change to a shorty. I opted for a new trunk and paint as I didn't want to have rip apart the old one adding new holes and patches.

Two questions: Where did you buy the trunk and the shorty antenna? Did you consider the racing wing?

Final pics are here
https://themustangsource.com/f813/bo...497601/index5/
The antenna I got from Late model restoration in black or American Muscle in Billet. Both are a little less than $30
I considered the 302S wing, but my car is driven on the street and that would have been too much. I liked the look of the wing on the 302R that 5 DOT O had showed me.
The trunk my body shop got directly from Ford.
Hope that helps!

I like the Street Wing like Jason has. The new one looks pretty slick and I suspect it has similar functional downforce like the 05-09 wing. The LS wing is also functional as is the GT500. The GT500 is a direct bolt-on while the LS wing utilized the four original holes and then you drill four additional holes.

It's not a Ford item but I've seen some aftermarket for adding a backup camera to the license plate frame. Here's one.

Thanks for the comments. I may just go with this new Steeda wing for simplicity and like it.

I'll use the money saved for the 302s grill.

It is just a short antenna I made but it doesn't work all that well just looks good. Since the base radio plays MP3s I can have every Led Zeppelin album and most of Jimmy Pages solo stuff on one disc with that I don't need anything else.

Well, I finally decided. I'm going with the newer Steeda wing for overall ease off fit, and engineering. Should provide some nice down force on the back, espec when inadvertantly lifting throttle or popping 4th/5th at high speeds. Not sure if it'll be painted black or covered in carbon. I'm going to take a look at it first then decide. I drilled out the stock grill yesterday, including all the holes in the fog light bay and the louvers around the emblem. It is pointless drilling the louvers lateral to the fog lights since there is hardware behind them.
I've got the brake ducts at trans scoop on order too. Should be good for the hotter months.

Are there any fiberglass or carbon deck lids out there for the '10-'12 cars yet? I am liking the steeda wing now too. Also the hood of our car is aluminum so the 302S hood only saves 20 lbs, the deck lid is steel so there must be at least another 20 to save there.
Madness........sheer madness!
Alex, love that diffuser, you made it yourself right? Any chance you did wind tunnel test on your aero mods they are very cool.
