Standard/Stock Boss Seats
We all know how the Recaro seats and Torsen LSD are THE option to get on the street Boss. But what about those who settled on the stock seats and carbon plate LSD? People like, uh me. You can read about the Recaros in the automotive press ad nauseum, but only here are the stock seats reviewed. So, here goes nothin':

The stock seats are a mixture of fabric and alcantara, with sufficient lateral support for about any street situation you'll encounter. You will not slide around with these seats like you would with a leather or vinyl surface. There is sufficient padding to support most body types from thin to thick. I'm a typical American male 5'11" and about 215, these seats fit me well, and are quite supportive of my legs, hips and back.
I think a CS-Lock would be useful if you are planning to track your Boss, and am planning to get a couple for my own use; but then again I'd suggest the same CS-Lock for a Recaro equipped car that you are going to track.
The Boss is capable of around 1 g of lateral force around the skidpad. In a session of high performance driving, like at a driver's school or autocross, I think that the Boss's stock seats are fully adequate.

Nice write up. I originally did not order the Recaro's because I wasn't sure how they'd work with my kids getting in and out of the back seat and how they might block their view. But after sitting in them I changed my order and added them. The stock Mustang seats are also nice and the cloth in the Boss seems appropriate for the car. FYI that's not Alcantara on the seats just faux suede.

Just in case you haven't heard Alcantara is a faux suede.

...white walls, really?

Maybe it's not the official brand name Alcantara on the seats, though.

Having had the ultra-supportive Recaros in my Evo, they were an awesome HPDE companion in terms of support. It's probably the only car I've ever tracked that I never felt like I really didn't need harnesses to keep me in the seats during heavy cornering.
The Recaros are a must-have for me.

I ordered the option primarily for the seats, not the torsen. I saw the torsen as a bonus!
It appears that more people are getting the option than not. Guess the standard seat cars will be the "rare" strip down version.

I'm glad you like the base seat but, at 6'1" I found the stock Mustang seats uncomfortable and is one of the reasons I didn't order a 2011 Mustang. I'm real picky when it comes to seats. Hoping I like the Recaros better.
