Speaker upgrade info
That's beyond "Bad Delivery"!!!!
Sheesh!I get a LOT of UPS/Fedex/Postal deliveries here in Montana, including copius shipments of wine and all these guys are courtious, friendly and helpful.
If the upgrade is anywhere near as good as when I put new ones in my 99 Crew Cab I'll be happy. Of course after the chip the amp and subwoofer was my best mod on the truck.
What would it entail to change out the door panels for the ones with the little subs down low? I wouldn't mind swapping out the panels for something while it's a daily driver anyway. Probably super easy once you have the parts. I wonder if the upgraded stereo with a better internal amp is needed/desired.
This video will show you how easy it is to remove the panels. If Gary can do it anyone can.
I think it will be tough to improve the current quad system with the windows rolled down.

I rode with cloud9 once and all he listened to was Whitney Houston.....but that's another story.
I am looking into a speaker upgrade as well. Anyone know if there is anyway to plug in an amp into the factory head unit?

I know, I know. I was so excited to get them installed that I forgot. I'm not about to pull them back out so I'm hoping someone else is going to be installing them and weighs them first
To be honest, it can't be more than a couple pounds more than the stock ones.
Only engine I've built is the 289 with my dad when I was 17 for the Falcon. That thing was driven like a rented mule for a solid decade at high RPM. Still holding together 23 years later! The radiator was so bad when I'd drive it from San Diego to San Jose or vice versa I would start with 8 spare gallons of distilled water... Tough engine!
Now at work we build semiconductor fabrication machines the size of a large kitchen with a price tag to make the six million dollar man jealous.
