So what deal did you make to get your Boss?

We have been married 20 years and have made it so long by having a partnership of equals, and we know what make the other tick. So knowing the 'nature of the beast' in my house, I just knew I should offer up the carrot of another pet to get her thinking my way. The art of compromise has been a hallmark of our relationship over the years. So for those of you who had zero resistance or no issues at all in getting your ride, congrats. For the others who had to sell a few other toys to make room, good for you too, I'm sure the memories of the old vehicles will be enhanced with those of the new. The cliche from the Who fits, 'meet the new Boss, same as the old Boss' for those lucky enough to own and enjoy one of the best Mustangs ever built.

Am I the only single guy here? I do whatever I want, whenever I want, and I spend all my money .
I did sell my 88 Mustang LX 5.0 that I bought back in High School though. I had that car for 12 years, it was hard to see it go.

Deal....What Deal ?
It's actually pretty simple....just spend your children's inheritance.
My wife of 30 yrs likes cars; my 24 yrs old daughter loves them, so buying the BOSS was somewhat of a "no brainer"
On Sunday my wife and I were out to coffee, and Cristina came by our house and then called asking where we were.
"At Coffee...be home in a few minutes" my wife said
"No Problem...I'll just take the BOSS for a spin around the block" Cristina replies.
"She's kidding, right?" I asked
"Of Course" said my wife.....................
And as we're about half a block away I see the BOSS heading out of the driveway!
Gotta love the younger generation.

I think my 2 year old grandson will be the only other family member to drive the Boss apart from me. But only because I bought it for his 18th birthday present. I will take very good care of it until then.

I had to trade in my 2004 Mach1. It was my birthday in August, my wife says to me" hey if your really interested in trading your car in, let's go look at some Shelbys and Bosses"
She new for since 05 I was waiting for a new Mach1 to come out, Shelby GT 500 was just out o my reach payment wise, and I loved the bargain the Boss is.
It took a while before I found a dealer willing to sell me at sticker and give me a great trade in.
Dealer has has my Mach1 for a month and still haven't been able to sell it..

Wife says if it makes me happy to go for it. No deal involved.
I think she knows I'll sweat the finances enough for both of us, so that is not a consideration for her.

Haha, so I take it he gave you permission then? I have a nephew about that age who thought I should have given him my old Mustang. A little too much work needed and too far off before he could drive for that to work out though.

Maybe you live under a rock. Unemployment is high and people have been losing their shirts and their retirements. The economy has been in the toilet the past 2 years & it doesn't seem like it's about to get better

I had been eying the 12 Boss for a while, was going to wait until 2013. Liked the 70 style stripe package, as I had owned a 70 Boss 302 a while back.
The wife said if you want a new car, go for it. Would not have done so without approval. Our 06 GT was still great, but a chance to get a new Boss will only happen one more time in my lifetime. Week later, our Race Red Boss was in the drive. No markup, but did have to drive 150 miles to get it. No regrets, this car is freaking awesome
