The race is on. I'm thinking about sneaking down to Hastings Thursday July 7th for their open track day 10-3 if you're ready to put it on the track . Haven't run it by the wife yet though

Stock mufflers weight in at 26.8 pounds each which is almost 54 pounds of iron. have no idea what the roush mufflers weighed. but they felt about 1/2 the weight.

Keep it going, post weights for the GT500, Roush, Bassani, and Corsa axle backs.

Yeah the roush mufflers in the box w/ all the packing material was pretty easy to pick up and move around, 25-30lbs total sounds about right.

Now we know why they are lighter and louder. They are half the size of the originals.

Check out the 2011 GT500 mufflers sold through Ford Racing. Good price, good sound, lower backpressure and no drone/boom (factory tuned!). I'm pretty sure they run under $350/pair. If you've heard a GT500, then you can guess how they'll sound on a 5.0L...

Nice job Harley Mine just came in today. The Corsas weigh in at 12 lbs each. That will cut 30 lbs based on boss man's scale on the stockers.

Drove to Omaha today (110miles round trip), 55-68 mph the corsas have the dreaded drone, above 68mph starts decreasing drastically, between 73-85mph very light drone that is easy to talk without raising voice, I used a digital readout app on smart-phone to get the speeds I think the speedo on the Boss sucks, very hard to tell what speed you are going IMO. This was in 6th gear.

The corsas sound great inside the car, especially at WOT, I don't hear the side pipes any more, tomorrow I'll get a listen outside the car.

Are you saying it showed a different speed on your phone? Is it using GPS? I found my GPS lap timer shows a speed about 3-4 mph lower than my Boss. I'm trying to find one of those police trailers that flashes your speed to see which is accurate. I know my timer is accurate as it gives the same lap times as the tracks transponders. It's a 5 mhz unit so supposed to be accurate to 1/100 of a second. No idea about the accuracy of the speed......

Glad to hear you like the sound of the Corsas. I'll know on mine this afternoon. Interesting that you don't hear the side pipes. That must mean freeing up the flow through the axle backs is working.
