Maybe Ford Racing can incorporate that into their part since it is a Boss-specific item.
What will be the electrical source for the dump valve feature? Will it be able to be user installed or is there some nasty harness work required? I don't recall any power available near where the disks are located.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned or even tested yet, but I removed my discs tonight while the car was on the dyno and it was good for 4 extra rwhp. Went from bone stock cold run for 385 to 389.76 just from removing the discs! And it sounds beastly!! Best free mod ever!!

How many pulls did you do with and without the disks? It's not uncommon for the numbers to very 5 or more HP from run to run. Did you lose any bottom end torque?

I'm not surprised by this, you're basically bypassing the mufflers taking the discs out. BTW those HP numbers are much closer to what I expected compared to the "Evolution" dyno pull.

I had read there was backpressure with the discs in and that removing them should provide some gains. I wonder if it all flows out the sides, or if a muffler delete would produce even more gains. If it's mostly going out the sides with the discs out, then maybe a muffler delete would just put some of the noise out the back of the car without increasing overall noise.

Thanks for the info black_bullitt.

Would you be able to post your dyno graphs? I'd be interested in seeing the power band for gearing on the track.

Not sure if you've had too much coffee or not enough.

Haha, I have the graph, I'll post as soon as I get on the computer. (posting from iPhone/iPad since last night). I also have video of the two pulls for sound comparison. We didn't hook up all the sensors though, so the graph doesn't have rpm readings or any of that, we simply pulled the car on the rollers while a buddy was swapping intakes for his dyno-tuning session and got in two quick pulls.

Here's the chart. Again, we didn't hook up any sensors, so unfortunately, no RPM readings. This was a pair of 5th gear pulls.

Do most do dyno pulls in 4th? Where's the rpm line?

You pull from the 1:1 gear which is 5th gear on the Boss transmission.

Thanks Rich for posting! Can't wait to see some more of these with RPM's

So what are we realistically looking at in drive line loss for the Boss 13% 15% more/less ???

Did you get a torque curve? That will be more telling.
