Remove the Discs!
Do you know when FRPP plans to have these available? Has QTP finalized the design already?
Will the diameter of the hole be variable (think old camera shutter), or is it just one size? (Butterfly is either fully open or fully closed)
I'm hoping for a variable opening.

Sound clip of Boss factory exhaust with sound discs removed
Here is a 2012 Boss 302 Mustang with the factory sound discs removed. These are very easy to remove and just as Ford claims, you can do it when you get to the track and then put them back in for the ride home. Definitely awakens the car sound wise. Even kind of burbles when you left off the throttle. No drone observed.
Will try to take one with the car accelerating soon.

I had Roush axle back exhaust on my 2011 GT/CS and thought it sounded great. I would say that the sound of the Boss exhaust without the discs is very similar. So much so, I am not sure another exhaust system would be needed unless you really like it loud.
Sounds great to me! Do you really think you'll need the discs in on the street? Did you just put it on jack stands to get them out or do you have a lift?
After hearing that there is no way I'll use the discs on the street. It by no means sounds obnoxiously loud. Correct me if I'm wrong..it's not the same hearing it in a video compared to in person.
The reason I made the axle back comment was that 2006stiguy has also said this...
"I only could hear it just slightly in town when she revved it a little at a stop light. Anyway as you all know I was the first one to remove the silencing discs in the side eaxhaust and LOVE how it sounds next to, and in the car. Problem is there is no rumble around the car at lower in town revs(under 5500)"
So depending on how true this actually is(and i think everyones personal preferences are a little different in this respect)..I may end up just changing the axle backs

Driving normal and at lower revs it is in no way too loud for the street...in fact inside the car with the windows up it's how it should sound from the factory. I want to hear it when the car pulls away in fron with a nice roar!!!
Depending on how large your gut is, you can remove the discs without jacking up the car. That is how we did it yesterday. It is probably easier if you put it on a jack, but isn't necessary. I don't think you need the disc in when driving on the street. It has a great sound when accelerating, but is not overly loud.

Thank goodness it's still above freezing!
