Red for race

I know everyone always needs a laugh so here goes. I sent the information on my LS to my insurance agent for a quote. The girl at his office sent it in and got this response back.

"this car is equipped with a switch that turns it into a race car so we will have to decline coverage on it".

I almost fell on the floor laughing. I just kept picturing Bumblebee in Transformers.

I'm thinking about that Black & White Saleen Police car :-) If it can be issued plates, it should be covererd under insurance by any Insurance Company!

Did you tell her it's a Mustang, not the Batmobile?

What tools. You might want to try collector car insurance, but this might be a problem depending upon how many miles a year that you drive it.

They have my 1970 Boss so I told her it has the same type motor that Parnelli Jones used in the race car. I have that with Collector Car. Then I told her the same company that declined the new Boss is insuring my Steeda and that has a Steeda computer calibration and that is like the red key all the time. I laugh because these cars are driven bya 61 yo man. How much damage can I do? No smart *ss remarks.

Probably quite a bit Paul. Do you drive 15 miles an hour under the speed limit in the left most lane?

Sorry, had to take the shot.

Of course not, he's a Mustang driver and always drives 10 miles over the limit in the left lane .....

.... with his left turn signal blinking for the last 30 miles.

I've been told I'm 61 going on 21. I don't feel old when I light up the rear tires of my Steeda Mustang.

My wife would probably mutter something about the difference between age and maturity ...
