mike- great pix of the KB BOSS302! Ford should have offered the black matte stripe package on both the street & LS BOSS302's. the "sleeper" look hopefully keeps you under the radar. question, are the side body stripes reflective black? if so, can you post some shots w/the flash on, cheers.

Yes I would have been nice to have the reflective stripes from the start, Ford even had a focus group of vintage Boss owners and they all said don't make them shinny but....

sorry to answer for another member here but I believe he has the same stripes as my car from the same supplier ProMotorStripes, if so they are plain matte black and non-reflective.




It is weird that besides my YB I have only seen one other vid of a YB on track (from PA). I hope to go faster this year at Daytona but I think there will be more Boss 302's at the track this time around. I really need to something reliable soon for data.

 

The flat stripes look so much better, I hate the gloss on my car. Especially the hood stripe, mine looked swirled the day I picked it up.

 

scott- nice YB BOSS302! matte finish looks so much better. will you be applying matte finish to any other black gloss areas, e.g. top of the hood, rear wing?

mike- it appears you also darkened the polished outer ring area on the wheels?

i came across this other stripe kit supplier who offers reflective options, wonder if any of you would like to share comments... (ck out link below);

Looking good. I see you're not using hood pins, any issues with the hood moving at speed? When's the white rear spoiler going on?

I need to pick up a white spoiler to complete the look like you, but I'm still undecided on pedestal, gt500 gurney, or a steeda

 

The GT500 is a direct bolt on. Have you seen photos of the new Tiger Racing intermediate wing?

 

Can you lead me in the right direction on the tiger spoiler? Can't seem to find anything on it

Thanks, I had the roof painted body color, the top of the deck lid and spoiler are painted matte black. The side stripes and hood stripe are the same material made by ProMotorStripes, both in matte black.

Those r the best lookin wheels I've seen for the Boss.
Maybe a dumb question but being they only come in 9.5 they would require new tires? My stock tires are still fine but would like to upgrade to these...

 

great job, this is exactly what Ford should have offered stock! matte finish blends w/lower front & rear (between taillights & bottom valance) so much better. i like the rear deck treatment and louvers, homage to '69. the different paint/roof treatment should have been reserved for the LS models only. i also cked out the exhaust disc videos you provided, sweet! hopefully, i'll be contacting you via yahoo this summer, i'm on the fence in getting a 2013 BOSS302 or 2014 (?).
