Its a long storey. I will try to make it quick. I am a member on another Forum. A guy started a thread about 2V Cleveland open chamber heads that everyone throws away. I challenged myself into using those heads on a 302. I used a stock crank, heavier Scat bushed stock length 302 rods and KB Cleveland Pistons. I ported the heads and ran the pistons .050" out of the bores getting the piston right up inside the combustion chamber to make decent pump gas compression. I built a run in stand to break it in on. Next it goes in a 1986 Fox Stang. That is why it has a rear sump pan. It is essentially a BOSS but a Faux BOSS. Sounds great too.

I also crossed over to Law Enforcement after being a ceritfied tech since 1989. The pic of me with BOSS #167 is during chemo therapy as I am Battling Cancer. Never smoked, never done any drugs unless prescribed by a doctor. Play hockey and eat well and hardly cunsume any acohol and Cancer decides to move in. Go figure. Here is a poor sound quality video of the engine running on a stand. For what it is worth, I sent a letter to Ford about us Canadians being denied the Miller Driving School and Boss Gift Package. I posted that letter in The Canadian Boss Experience here on this forum for those interested in my Journey with Ford.

I've got 3 too. The whole thing looks totally sandblasted. I'm sure I'll pop a new one in sometime next summer.

 

Joe. Sad to hear when this happens to anyone but especially to those that tend to live a healthy lifestyle and it still happens to them. I wish you all the best and hopefully everything works out for you in the long run.
