Also i did about a year of research before deciding to go this route.
Thanks LP. I agree on cool factor. The I-1 in black is my favorite. I just don't think I want to budget 10k. I've been a PD fan forever, but the Procharger really has my attention. Especially with how difficult it is for the Boss to hook up now. The common opinion is that the Whipple/Roots provides instant power as opposed to Centri. Is be in the market for F1/D1.

10k to start haha. Not the best choice also there is a metric ton of wiring as well - don't let the P/C ppl tell you it can be done in xhours over a weekend.
I would definitely go D1/F1 route. Nick at JDM has a Whipple and his Mustang is a freakin BEAST so there is another option.

The low boost option is just a few psi so if you let a valet or sibling/son/daughter drive it wont boost them into a wall.
Basically the 3 modes are Beast level 1,2 and hold the **** on.

My BOSS is a DD with some light strip and canyon carving. Basically its my special toy.

Sorry to bring up an older thread, but the I-1 is what I'm looking to install late summer. The wife is getting it for my 50th bd. is it still performing well? My friend and mechanic has installed prochargers before. Is the i1 any more difficult than a "normal" one?

Yes, LOTS more IF you opt for the LCD screen. There is alot of wiring and you will have to trim away a bit of plastic as it is a bigger unit. Performing well would be an understatement - the unit is a beast. I was spinning brandy new MPSS 295s in the rear in 4th and i'm still on the canned tune(8.5lbs boost).

My supporting mods were a roush bap and alum. driveshaft.
I just ordered a SPEC SS Twin kit clutch to save me a headache later
Once the weather breaks i'll be getting a dyno tune in comp mode as she running a little on the rich side. Right now im somewhere around 625 whp. Thats the guesstimate with me and my mechanic. I also have headers and no cats.

Thanks for the reply. My awesome bride told me to get it in July so I can have it installed and ready to show off by my birthday in August. I already spoke with my friend who is a mechanic and we'll do the install in his shop.

Nice ! I did the same thing with my mechanic in his shop - Craig Silverman. He was one of JDM's chief mechanics and now hes on his own. Hes got a beautiful shop. Whenever i had JDM work on my car, he did the work so it only makes sense to keep using him, plus the fact hes one of the coolest guys on the planet. If you guys run into any "gotchas" send me a message and i'll get back to you asap. txt @ 9176824973
Best -
