Procharger D1SC Help

I am looking at buying this Mustang but listening to the video the guy sent me it sounds like a bearing or pulley might be failing. Listen right after he pops the hood you can hear it. If you think it is something else let me know. Thanks for any input.

Prochargers do tend to sound like that, but there is a little too much noise for me to say it's 100% normal for it to have that sound.

I didn't hear anything I thought was abnormal for a procharged car being as they do have a lot of noises to them. Though hard to say for certain with the video.

Buying those highly modified car is a risk though since you have to trust that the PO built the car correctly and is set up properly, which can end up a costly mistake in some cases.

They tend to make noise like that but I can't be 100% just with a video. To me it sounds like the owner didn't go with the Helical Gear Set.

I have a P1SC-1 on my V6. Yeah I know not the same thing, but it whines like crabby 2 year old. I did go with the helical gears and all was quiet until I took it to Road America during June Sprints. A few days later I noticed that the volume increased substantially, to the point I can hear the whine with the windows up cruising about town at 40mph or so. At freeway speeds I don't hear it as much until I come to a stoplight or something. I did the recommended blower oil change (500 miles) a week before tracking it, so maybe it is "broken in" now??? Now I have 2K on the blower in a matter a few weeks.

My car definitely doesn't sound like either of those videos; those sound rougher like a rock tumbler and would agree that they may not have the helical gears. Mine sounds more like the sound you have on brand new tires coming up to freeway speeds. A nice high pitched whine. It isn't annoying to me.....yet.
