Problem w/ SYNC
Thanks!

Sync uses the tags that are part of music files, not the file names. There is a free program available for Windows called mp3tag. It will also work with .wma files. It displays the contents of the tags in music files and provides an easy way to update them. Those tags are Title, Album Artist, Genre, and Album. I loaded up a thumb drive and experimented with it in a car at my local dealership. It worked fine. Sync accepted voice commands with no problems and my drive has over 250 albums on it.
I only offered the suggestion of connecting a 'clean' music library on a thumb drive to be connected to USB2 as a means of having the bulk of your music library always available. You can enjoy new music/podcasts connected to the more convenient USB connection in the center console. Once you get used to being able to use the voice commands, you don't want to lose that capability due to some unknown reoccurring problem.
You know what I think is funny about this Thread?
I bought my 2012 Boss #228 on 3/28/2011 have enjoyed driving it quite a bit..but I have never turned the radio on. With that in mind I could have lost a few pounds if I could have ordered radio delete.
