It beat the Nissan gtr! Sweet. I believe it will have a tough time with 2011 one though. Ford did a great job!
+1 on the start shipping!!

The new GTR and GT3 would both be two seconds a lap faster if not more.

Wow the GT3 was wearing Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Those have to be good for a second or two a lap. From the Porsche GT3 article:

"The clear winner of our 2007 Best Handling comparison is the Michelin-Porsche 911 GT3. We're augmenting the nomenclature here to acknowledge the immense contribution the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires make to the tail-heavy Porsche icon's handling. They're the closest thing to a full-on racing tire that is DOT-legal for street use. They're fair game because GT3s come from the factory with these tires, and we doubt that fitting conventional summer rubber would lower the GT3's performance to a second-place finish here. Conversely, a set of Cup tires probably wouldn't have enabled any of the competitors to outperform the GT3."

What's the chance that someone could edit the very first post in this thread to contain links to all the articles, and then to update the first post every time someone posts a link to a new article?

I've been doing that over at BMO here in post 90 and just updated the list with the latest one from MT.

That would be me. Frankly I don't have the time or energy to do it at this point. If someone has the time, post a compilation here and I'll put it into the first post, attributed with my thanks.

Road and Track's review is finally online. The LS is reviewed.

Article here:

Video here:

“We were adamant about testing the car’s durability. The Boss 302 is a track car, and we wanted to make sure it could handle the rigors of extended on-the-limit driving. In testing, we actually ran it at or near the limit for 12 straight hours, so today was a piece of cake for this car,” Tom Barnes, vehicle engineering manager said.

Don't forget to click on the data download link. They show the engine revving to 7,800 RPM!

From R&T:

And the best thing about the base car? Its production isn't limited, so you’ll have plenty of time to consider buying one.
Where did they get that information?

of most surprise / delight...

is the commentary on brakes...in that they didn't say anything about fade. they only said that pedal feel was lighter than they'd want. that's contrary to what a number of folks said from the press event. hmmm...

I already ordered SS lines. Sounds like a good choice.
