I have heard that back in the day the guys at the factory would see an obvious problem and say "that's for the dealer to worry about" instead of taking care of it. I hope things are not going that way again, I have had a few minor issues with mine, it was the first time since 96 I had warranty work done on a new Ford.

Mine is in the Body Shop, the plastic shroud that covers the Bumper is coming apart below the right turn signal....

Tried to get a shot, but difficult. My outside vents are shiny. Inside and centre satin.

To me in that pic the outside vent is hazy. Mine are polished (as in a mirror) chrome. I think you are ok.

Nope, it's shiny. Gonna have to use a real camera. The fuzz is from the shine which messes with my iPhones focus. Maybe I should try without direct light on them. The odd thing is the left is far ahi were than the far right, which although more shiny than satin looks like someone may have "polished" a satin finished piece. I may have to actually test that theory...

Chris, in case you missed it on the other tread, my delivering dealer ordered and received the vent. Hopefully, it's the right one.

I did catch that. I'm glad to see they are stepping up for you. My dealer is doing likewise. I'll do a writeup about my experiences once things are sorted out.

Hey guys!

I just wanted to reach out to everyone who has the chrome vent covers. The vent covers are indeed supposed to have a satin finish. Please send me a PM with your VIN, mileage, contact info, and your dealer. I will get in touch with the Customer Service Manager in your area so this can be addressed.

Thank you!

Deysha, PM sent. My delivering dealer is installing the new vent on Thursday. Maybe you can cut them some slack.

I truly value your help on this forum, but I find it unconscionable that it takes monitoring forums to resolve obvious build quality problems from a company that used to say back in 1984, "quality is job one". Can you please pass this post up the line in your organization in the hope that policy changes can be made?

While we all strive for perfection, we humans are gonna make mistakes. Just ask the Mustang chief engineer Dave Pericak how he likes that Ford's own marketing dept. can't spell his name correctly in all 3 videos in the Mustang gallery... Oops!

At least this dept. got it right.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, ace72ace. I saw your PM last night and sent out an email to get this corrected as soon as possible.

So this thread made me check out my car carefully (though it is a GT500)...what do you guys have for the ring around the shifter? Everything is satin in my car except the ring around the shifter which is chrome. I don't really care enough to have that changed if it is wrong...just curious.
