MGW Shifter Issues

I finally had mine installed a few weeks at my Ford dealer, as I expected it was bit notchy for a while but the 1-2 has not cleared up and under light accel it can completely refuse to shift on occasion forcing me to go back into first and it can be pretty bad. Under spirited conditions I haven't had a issue.
Any thoughts?

I would give George a call directly at MGW. Might have to do with reverse lock-out pin adjustment ?

Sounds like the 1-2 centering pin needs to be turned out. Remove ball and console, push rubber boot down this exposes the pin and lock nut. The pin rides on a aluminum rail to the left when the shifter is pushed left. When the shifter is pushed down and pushed to the left it drops underneath the aluminum guide and allows access to reverse. Loosen the 1/2" locknut on the RS of the shifter, insert a small pick in the small hole on the tapered pin and turn the pin slightly towards the dash about a 1/8 turn at a time. Hold the shifter towards the left and try a 1-2 shift. When it shifts easily without a notch, you are done. Most cars take no more than 1/2 a turn, mine took about 3/8's of a turn.
