Anyone else notice this? Especially when it gets hot outside. I'm not complaining mind you, I love it, especially with the restrictor plates out. I was backing the Boss into the garage after a 375 mile cruise on Saturday, and the rumble rumble was truly music to my ears.

I love the rumble but haven't noticed if it seems more lopey. I also haven't driven it more than a hundred or so miles at a time. :-)

Once operating temp is attained, with Trackey my idle goes lopey. I haven't noticed a difference between short or long drives, but do think that the higher the octane fuel I use, the better the sound (he says to justify the premium cost of 94 octane).

Yes, mine has gotten better over time (41500K), my axle-backs are also fully broken in now, so that helps. The car shakes a bit in the heat

Can the lope idle be turned off in a setting or is it always enabled when using the track key?

It can be disabled.
You hold the OFF button on the left of the steering wheel when you start the car, and hold it for >5 seconds after the engine starts. You'll see the tach go to 9000 as a confirmation. You have to do this every time you start the car.

Just rolled over 22k. Next time it's in beast mode idle, I'll grab my camera.

Fun times, thanks. It's been a wild three years, brought her home in March 2011. Wouldn't trade her for the world. Have replaced failed A/C compressor, water pump, rear brake clips (TSB) so far, wear and tear. Still can't wait to walk out to the parking lot after work every day! N/A stress reliever.
