Just got off the phone with the original source of the news about the discontinuation of Kona Blue and he said that it came out on a Ford bulletin. He said it was the same system they use to tell dealers about rebates, incentives, and other business. He is going to try and get me a screen grab.

Patented process indeed. Tell the Asians about patents and copyrights. Might as well go out and yell at the moon tonight. Can't understand why the small # of products that are manufactured here have to be dependent on vendors offshore that have been ripping off our R/D and technology for decades. Does anyone really believe that companies like Dupont or PPG can't whip up paint for a Mustang. Get real.

A German company can't manufacture here?

Are you aware of the fact that the term "japs" is offensive? If you do and you wrote it anyways, then you are a rectal sphincter. If you were unaware, then you are an idiot. Either way, I don't think anybody in Japan wanted an earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster just to make it difficult for us to have cars in colors we like. It's just car paint - what's your problem?

All I got from this is Kona, along with other colors, might be built less in the short term, but it's not discontinued. What surprised me is with the plant coming back online, they're still switching orders of Tuxedo Black and Redfire to other colors.

It is abundantly clear that it is you who has the "problem". Spare us the lecture on political correctness and get over it.

If they want it to contain Xirallic®, then yes, I believe they can't. So, are you pro-patent-infringement or not? It kind of sounds like you are both.

Okay, why do others continue to use it? Does quotations make it less offensive?

No just us "gringos" and "yanks". Why is it nobody seems to get a wedgy or outraged when those terms are used.
