June 23rd Summit Point

The SCCA is holding a PDX and Club Trial at Summit Point on the Shenandoah Circuit on the 23rd of June, I was wondering if any other Bosses would be out at it.

That sounds like fun, but unfortunately I'm not currently an SCCA member. How easily could I participate in this event?

I believe it is free to get a membership for the SCCA but the events cost money. The PDX is 250 and you have an instructor ride along. Without the instructor its 200 I believe.

Sheny is my favorite track, not sure if I'll have my Boss by then, but hoping to make it either way.

I am definitely excited. The track looks really technical so it should be interesting to see how the Boss does against other cars. Does the track have any foliage around it? The video I watched made the track look as if they had just finished it.

Hey bud, there are some trees (but nothing too close) and grass mostly, the track is in pretty good shape and the Karrusel is a hoot. I was there a few weeks ago and there was a Boss, but I believe he was running advanced and I was Intermediate.

Here's one of my vids. Don't mind the techno

Ok, so I signed up for a two year membership and hope to attend. I'm getting my friend to join in with his 2010 M3. I really want to beat him on the lap time, so I want to make sure my Boss is ready to go.

For the PDX event do you think anything should be done to a stock '12 Boss? I'm wondering about keeping the engine cool (being as it will be late June). I might buy a 302S grille to install, along with brake cooling ducts and a trans cooling scoop.

The only thing I have done to my car is drill out the fake fog light area. I hope to have money for brake ducts before the event but I doubt it. I ran last week at Fedex field for an SCCA meet and never left 2nd gear, drove the **** out of the car, and oddly while everyone else was turning there cars off and spritzing the engine with cold water my engine bay was fine. Then again it was a mildy cool day and who knows what it will be like on the 23rd.
