I'm rethinking my stripe mods - input needed

A Go Pro HD would probably sit nicely inside one of the blocked-off fog light openings.
Oh, and for those who might be wondering, check out this video (be sure to watch it in 1080)

I may be wrong I don't know if they did the same with the Shelby's but why turn down orders now from people that want one from a dealer without an allotment if they are just going to build more? This might change with the 13's but lets hope not.
In 5 years depending on how many are being resold, wrecked and if the build was only two years the value may be high but I doubt more then the original price. In 20 years, who know?

The 07 GT500 that went for as much as $70k with ADMs (MSRP was $45k) can be had for about $35k right now with 2k or less miles. If miles are up over 20k they can be had for $30k. Don't buy the Boss if you're hoping for an "investment" type return. You better buy it to drive it and enjoy it.

Well Ford did it once with the GT (40) so lets hope they do it again with the Boss. The number of GT's built was actually less then the 4,500 stated. I agree with you about not buying it for an investment, most cars are not. It would be nice having a car that holds it's value because it is rare, special and desired, not for resale.
I just do not see them producing "extra" cars, at least this year. That would just be a big waste of time and money going through the process of allotting so many per dealer. Plus you have to why they did it his year if they do not plan it for 13. They never did anything like that with the Shelby, correct?
There is only one way I will want to part with mine and that is if the 13 is more to my taste, I have always liked the 70 more than the 69 but that has more to do with the overall car then just graphics but that is a big part.

OK, sorry for my ignorance on the Shelby but I do not know much about it. I was under the impression you could order one from any dealer. So if a dealer only had an allocation for the one car, someone could not order a second one there?

No apology required. No you couldn't just order one, you had to have an allocation. I was 32nd on the waiting list at my local dealer with a $500 deposit and they were allocated 4 cars. I had to travel to a tiny dealership in SW Wisconsin to get mine with an ADM.

Sheds a different light on things. Best we can do is hope they are true to their word. The first car I drove was a Ford and the last car I drive will most likely be a Ford. I would be very upset if Ford lies to us about this. Even if they build more in 13 than this year I hope we don't see a 14.

I am not particularly fond of the stripes or the white roof, at least black appears to be a continuation to the windshield and rear window rather than a break in between but I would not alter the factory design under any circumstance and would live with the color combo I choose which would have been Yellow Blaze even though it is not my favorite color.
Regardless, the graphics can't be seen when one is driving. To me the car is more important, the color is icing on the cake.

I really like the Kona Blue. It's as close to the Vista of my current car as I can get. Ironically, I switched my GT/CS stripes from black to white because of the contrast. However with the over-the-top stripes of the Boss, I was hoping for an option for something more subdued. The black also works much better with the spoiler and wheels. I don't intend to do anything irreversible, which is why I would put a wrap on the roof instead of painting it.
Did you know that Canadians have the option of getting Yellow with White stripes. I bet there will be less than TEN of those cars built. Collectors should be interested.

This is what has me thinking of switching from white to black stripes. The red, yellow, white and orange cars look much more integrated with the black wheels, spoiler and stripes. The roof is a separate issue for me. If it was black I'd leave it that way.

I know the schemes are a bit funky, but IMO it's appropriate that they are noticably different than other Mustangs. It's part of what makes a special edition, well, special. I am primarily buying for the performance aspect, but I think it's cool that they will look unique. Given that most of us will not have more than a handful, IF ANY other Bosses in our market, it'll be obvious when people see one.
