I need more autocross/racing in general help!!

Ok so this past weekend was our monthly auto-x here in corpus christi. I did ok finished about 9th outta 40 ish cars. My problem is with traction control. I have previously been running in sport mode, but in this course since is our longest and fastest course i was shifting alot more especially 2nd to 3rd at fairly high rpm. Now all that said i have become either comfortable enough in the car or a good enough driver and even sport mode was shutting me dwn a few times costing me presious seconds on a run. So i decided to go traction control off. I worked my times were about a half a second or so faster this way. Only problem is there are 2 places where it still shuts me dwn. I assume this is advance track kicking in?? How do you get all nannies to go away? I know that in my 12 ss camaro you hold the button for ten seconds and that disables traction control and stabilitrac. Is it as simple as that in the boss? Thanks for input and opinions.

Yes. Car stopped, foot on brake and hold button down for 5-10 seconds. Cluster will display "Advance Trac Off" when successful.
