Great News! My dealer is getting a Boss and I'm #1

My dealer has just been informed that they are getting at least 1 Boss 302 and I'm #1 on their list.
I don't have any further info at this time.

Not sure I still want to get the Boss, there is a 2009 Shelby Gt500 KR that has just popped up on my radar.

Glad you finally have found some new news on the Boss! Hopefully they don't try and charge you $500,000 and you have to pass on it.

Talked to one of the larger dealers in our area this morning. They are not doing a wait list. They have been allocated two cars - a "street" Boss and a Laguna Seca. One is coming in the 2nd quarter and one in the 3rd or 4th? They think both will be offered by internet bidding. Don't know if true but they said they have already been offered by one customer $15K over MSRP.

Any word on what MSRP is on either version? Kind of strange that people are offering specific dollar amounts over an unknown number, although I guess we know the ballpark figure...

well... when money is no object, I can imagine saying "I'll pay 15k more than the best offer anyone else gives you just so I can have it first" is easy. oh how nice it must be...

#1 on paper doesn't mean much. They'll sell it to whoever pays the most.

I wish you the best of luck, hopefully you get it at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately, this.

Makes me glad I didn't wait even though I would love to have a BOSS. It will be extremely rare if not impossible to see one of these things go for MSRP. People are gonna pay these ADMs willingly

i'll take a street version. my guess is that it'll be priced around $40k-$45k...i just feel its gonna happen but please i hope were not gonna see rediculous mark ups. save the mark ups for the higher end GT500!

No worries about that. This type of thing doesn't happen all that often in Canada, although it does happen. I have absolutely no concerns with it happening with my dealer.

Oddly enough I'm not sure I really care about it that much. I should sell my #1 position for 10k to someone who can't get on a list
That would make buying the KR an easy choice

George,

No, it's not for the LS. The LS is exclusively for the track. I read that the Boss 302 at handling setting level 1 will drive like a GT with the brembo brake package and it's level 5 will be the same as level 1 on the LS edition. So that tells me the LS will not be very comfortable for everyday street driving.

Jury is still out on whether I want to get the Boss. The 2011 GT500 is still in the mix an '09 KR with 70 miles on it just fell into my lap. So I'm still trying to see what I want....and of course just staying with my '08 GT500 is very much a possibility.

Neat thing about the '11 is the new engine.

Really neat thing about the KR is the proven engine, with a bump in HP over yours, with the exclusivity of so few made. I dig the KR!

Neat thing about the 08 is you keep money in your pocket and still have a thrill ride.

Thanks.

Sometimes life is easier without choices!
I don't have the kind of money some folks have to just buy what they want so I'm trying to make sure that I can make the best choice possible.
