Great News! My dealer is getting a Boss and I'm #1
I think anyone could choose to be #1 on a list of a US dealer now but still have to deal with a MSRP+ priced car and incomplete information on whether they have an allocation.
Hopefully the allocation strategy will NOT be a barrier to any person here who would like to get a Boss. And hopefully, the pricing will not be an issue for those who would like to acquire one, on any level.
Good luck!

I won't pay more than MSRP though. I'm guessing the car will list for $39K.
Does anyone have an guesstimate what the Recaro/Torsen option should cost?
Thanks,
Jim
Carry on....
The Boss 302 is set up for road racing, so I certainly understand the appeal to Mustang enthusiasts who prioritize handling and fast corners, and I suspect it will satisfy those customers immensely. However, I'm a drag racer (have been for 28 years), so it is not a car that appeals to me.

If somebody had said what Whammer said, but to me instead I'd probably have not been so nice, but it is the internet and who really gives a **** what gets said here.
The local dealer I contacted said they have 2 allocations - one for the 1st quarter, the other in the 4th quarter. They also expected to ask for $5000 over MSRP. Not in my plan. -)
Wait...what?
He took the high road in his response IMHO, I didn't take any road. I just commented from the peanut gallery.
I've always known Brian to say what he means. Never known him to be passive/aggressive, but then again he could be a 15 year old boy being home schooled who has a father who works at a Ford dealer for all we really know.

But now that I've had to reply to it I've been reduced to taking the low road.
My comment wasn't directed at you per se. There was a bit of sarcastic humor in my reply. Taking the high road would be making no comment. Which is what I was attempting to elude to by saying "......."; in other words I was taking the high road and not commenting.

It's a vicious cycle. But upon rereading your post I mistook the "...." for a "?". That one's on me.
Of course I didn't have to reply either, so I just perpetuated it.
Sometimes this works...

I was not. Didn't find this forum till the days after I bought my 2007. Lurked for a while and then decided to join you hooligans. Unfortunately my wallet regrets it, but then I'd have never met you George.
When I say met, I mean internet met.
Dammit! I did it again...

Its like steppin' in dog crap. Shake and scrape but there's always a little bit of stench that follows you for awhile.
What was the topic again?

Somebody wanted something and now they aren't sure if they do...? I think...
In '05 I still owned my '03 Mach 1 so I spent 99.9% of Mustang forum time at www.Mach1Registry.com. I didn't buy my '07 GT until late 2006, and it was 2007 before I found this website.
Before the Mach 1, I owned a 2000 Mustang "Spring Feature" GT and spent most of my Mustang forum time at www.BlueOvalNews.com, where I've been a member since 1999.
These forums here at TMS are great. Lots of great people who are all very enthusiastic & passionate about Mustangs. This passion sometimes gets the best of us and we say things we shouldn't. Oh well; we're all human and we're all friends most of the time.
So, it appears that Ford is slowly contacting dealers about their Boss 302 allocations. Our regional office has yet to tell us either way. As one of the top 794 volume Mustang dealers, we'll get one for sure, but it would be nice to know when and if we get any more.

What you conveniently left out on your narrative is the fact many members seeked you for help in getting GTs and GT500s both in demand at the time and you flat out refused while gloating and advertising your dealer's inventory and glorifying ADMs. Many of your posts were a tease unlike other members associated with Ford dealers who truly went out of their way to help many fellow members realize their dreams at reasonable prices. They helped, you bragged. There are enthusiasts and then there are used car salemen.
Whammer has a point with reference to your comments. Sure, he is emotional and you cashed in on the opportunity to take a shot at him in favor of dealers as if they need it. So here you are doing it again in a different platform and circumstance but with the same intentions. I fail to understand the logic or purpose other than you can't help yourself.
As for BON and Mach 1 Registry, I was there as well. The one constant in the last ten years is you haven't changed one bit.
