If you take a close look at the pictures of "PP0001" you will see that my rear exhaust tips are a dull aluminum finish and not a bright chrome finish as on my other cars.

I suggest that after some early exposure at various Ford displays, functions and auto shows such as the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas in November 2010 that Ford got some negative feedback as to why they would build suggest a great car and come up with rear exhaust tips that look unfinished.

Let me know what finish you have on your rear exhaust tips for "PP0005"?

Thanks,

Harry

Hi Frank:

Great find yourself and thanks for the confirmation on the dull aluminum finish that is on your car as well.

What day did you car get built and have you come across PP0002 or PP0004?

I would suggest that your car was built on Tuesday, October 26th, 2010 but that is a guess on my part. I know that there was no afternoon shift at the AAI/Flat Rock that week so it had to have been built on the day shift on what ever day it was built?

Based on my understanding we now know where PP0001, 0003 and 0005 are and wondering where 0002 and 0004 are?

How many miles did your car have when you purchased it and do you drive it very much?

Thanks for sharing your car with us.

Cheers,

Harry

Hi Harry

My car was built on Oct 26, 2010. When I purchased it it had 210 KM. It is the only vehicle built to Canadian specs and it was displayed at all the cars shows throughout Canada. It now has 500 miles on it. I do not drive it much. I have a few other toys to drive. I don't know where the other two are

Cheers

Frank, outstanding find given the fact this may be the only Pilot Production Boss 302 car built to Canadian specs?

Who was the car sold to and who did it get delivered to so that this car could be shown all over Canada?

My car was sold to Ford Motor Company at 16800 Executive Plaza drive in Dearborn and was shipped to DST in Romulus Michigan shortly after it was built in late October and then shipped directly out to the 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas that I think started on November 7th so not much time to get it there for the unveiling.

Other than the speedo and odometer what is different on this Canadian spec car?

Did you find this car in the U.S. or Canada and were you able to obtain the 2 window stickers for this unique car?

Cheers!

Harry

Good Morning Frank:

Based on the information that I have for these early production cars the PP and MP cars get their own sequence of VIN's compared to the regular production Boss 302 cars.

My VIN ends in 5199915 which if it is reversed is the same VIN so kind of funny.

Being that your car is the only Pilot Production car built for Canada and sent to Canada does your VIN follow the same VIN pattern as the rest of the PP cars?

I would think it would since our cars were only built a day apart?

Have a good day and talk to you soon.

Best Regards,

Harry
