I received news of a firm delivery date of my CO Boss for Wednesday, April 13. I will be picking it up In Indanapolis and driving it back to SE Michigan. I have mapped out a Non-Interstate route home. (300 miles). Forecast is all Sunshine and 65 F. (that's warm for us Midwestern'ers)

Any thoughts on how inportant the brake burnishing process is. I am assuming it is important to be so detailed in the manual. Any feel for what a.4G stop is? the .6G stated that is just shy of Anti-Lock. 80 brake stops, That's a bunch! I'll need a Co-pilot just to keep count.

Just drive it. You don't have to bed the brakes until you're ready for the track.

 

Since you will be driving 300 miles I would recommend you try to seat the rings within the first 30 miles or so. A couple red line pulls in 2nd gear should do it. Just don't depress the clutch when decelling to scavenge the cylinders.

 

What they said. If you're going to track it, you're better off getting a second set of rotors and track pads to keep from cross-contaminating with different compounds. Then just follow their seasoning and bedding processes.

I arrived this morning to pick up my Boss having drove 300 miles with my trade-in. I pulled in and could see my CO Boss on the showroom floor...

With the WHITE graphics package. (it was supposed to be black) I left without it.

I did get to start it in the showroom. here was my reaction...

When it started, I got the same feeling Chris Matthews of MSNBC got hearing Pres. Obama speek, that tingling feeling down my leg!

We are working out a resolution. It was pretty Awesome! It KILLED me to leave without it.

Wow. I don't know what to say about the stripes, except to say I feel confident you will be very happy with the final outcome Sorry to hear you had to drive 600 miles round-trip.

 

Have them order the right color stripes and put them on

 

What about the roof color (WHITE) ? Isn't that painted on the car?

Mine is CO with Black stripes, but I would like to see one with white stripes in person. I bet it would look good....

 

Boss- could you tell us the dealer you are working with?

 

It looked OK, It leaned a little toward a DreamSicle. Taste is each-to-his-own, but I think the Black looks much better with all the black trim, wheels and dark windows. The black flows over the car.
I was going to take pictures but I was so distrought, I forgot.

I think they showed a CO w/ white on the Boss documentation on the speed channel. (Just 1 short clip)

 

Man that sucks. I called my dealer a week ago or so and had him confirm the order with me and he had WHITE on the Race Red also. I politely told him it's been black since we started talking about it. They fixed the order and sent me a copy of the screen shot or whatever.

I hope you get it all figured out!

 

Maybe the dealer can do a strait up swap to get one with the black stripes.
