Cheesy Hood Sticker
I don't know, you may be correct, but I've been using it for many, many years without that issue. I would think that if it striped off all the wax body shops would be using it undiluted on every car before it entered the paint booth.
I use a few small drops and it cleans the car well, all grease and tar comes right off. As for spots, that is another issue I have not had since after rinsing well I always dry the car off.

Most high end wax guys like Zaino tell you to wash you car with Dawn etc. before using their products because it will strip wax and such off. They then tell you to use car washing soap.
The mainline car wax companies all say not to use dishwashing or household soap on a car.
I have also heard claims that it will turn car rubber brown.
I know back when I started using Zaino in 2001 I used Dawn on a car for prep like they said. The car had Mothers on it and it killed the beading of water on it.
Edit: Oh, BTW...the guy that painted my hot rods does use Dawn and solvents to take stuff off cars and prep them.

I saw that at Detroit as well, at the time I didn't know if it was some kind of vinyl sticker or a thick decal,,Bottom line, someone tried to see if it was a decal/sticker and pulled on the edge with a fingernail--->IMO!
