Caliper bolt--passanger top, can't get torque wrench in there
Anyone else have trouble getting a torque wrench/socket on the Brembo passenger side top caliper bolt?
Strut bolts/nuts, brake lines, anti lock brake wire clips, etc all prevent the wrench/socket from fitting in there in a usable arc to torque it. Can't use an extension because the brake line anchor is back there.
I've got a knuckle, but I think that messes up the torque applied. Or doesn't it?
My torque wrench is about 18" long, so it won't go up in the wheel well, limiting where I can swing the bar.
Didn't think torquing a bolt would be so difficult, but I tried every angle in there and the only solution was using the knuckle to angle away from other stuff.
Thanks

I believe I turned the wheel and was able to torque it. Wasn't easy. I had the car on the lift and then jacked the car up off the lift (4poster) and turned the wheel to gain access.

Should need the wheel off the ground so you can get clearance to swing it from below. You'll need an extension to get it in there.
Or just settle for good-n'-tight as much as possible w/ a 1/2" ratchet.

Thanks.
I've just got it sitting on jack stands, so not high enough for the wrench to swing low. I'll try turning the wheel next time.
Gary, I've had my share of knuckle busting experiences, so gloves are worn to keep my body parts in tact! But don't ask about the scar above my left eye.

Nope, I'm right handed, but good guess.
Even dumber.
Walking thru my boss's aircraft hanger, being careful not to bump into his Bonanza, and walked straight into the prop tip of his Chinese military aircraft. Yep, that hurt.
