Brembo GT Brake upgrade?

Anyone tried this or any thoughts as to improved stopping performance in extended tracking conditions? Floating rotors are 15" rather than 14", 6 piston monoblock calipers.

Sounds like the new GT500 system. Unfortunately for Ford, they didn't put in any ducting, and used a weak street pad, and have therefore seen multiple magazine articles about how the car is not up to track use (more than 1-2 laps) and will get trounced by the weak ZL1. If they'd just put in Boss ducting and used a decent pad, results would have been much better.

Other options for 6 pistons:

StopTech

Does anyone even offer ducting for them? On a Track Pack GT500, would you have clearance for ducting through the fascia, or could you add some type of undercar diffuser to extract air and funnel it to the front?

I think the choice to go with what they did was based on the fact that a limited number of owners track the car, and those that do will probably go with a pad specific to track use, instead of something that would be mediocre at both. At the price point the car sits at with the packs added, most people shouldn't have a problem spending a few $$$ on dedicated track pads and rotors.

Would go with the Stoptech system long before the Brembo just for the rotors. Not a fan of drilled rotors and don't know many guys that are. Ordered a set of two piece and they sent me drilled and slotted rotors after I specified I only wanted slotted. Had a few issues initially and can see already they are wearing poorly ----- as hot as I get the rotors I imagine there will be cracks soon. The slotted Stoptech rotors are killer if you are buying a package. There are a few others that are quite good, and if you can get a Brembo system with slotted only , it would then be an alternative.

Pad wise, Carbotechs have served me very well ,with 8s in the back. Normally recommend 12s in the front, but I am pretty aggressive and went with 20s at the last event. They definitely held up strong!

I went with Carbotech's RP2's for the fronts, OEM still pads in the rears
then Carbotech street pad for the street
......this way I dont have to "prep" the rotor for their track pad

Having seen the car with the front fascia removed, I do not see a way to have Boss type ducting when the car has the track pack.

Personally, I think if they label something "Track Pack" it should actually have some track cred. From most reports, for the GT500 that's limited to a dragstrip. It's just sad they put such a great new brake system on(15" rotors, 6 piston Brembos, with the first ever from-factory upsized rear rotor since 2005), but it apparently fades dramatically within 2 laps around a track. How embarrassing to spend that amount (and that Track Pack ain't cheap) and have no easy way of adding brake cooling. The fact they didn't choose a different pad material from the prior GT500 (mentioned in the 5.0 M&SF write-up) means they didn't realize they would exceed the effective pad temp. Just seems like such an oversight.

If I tracked it, I'd pull the fog lights, put in ducts there. Have a similar setup on my PJ/Heritage Saleen front fascia now and it works great, big 4" intakes.
But probably the aux radiators go through there. Maybe through the lower radiator opening, the sides there?

I believe the 2013 GT500 system is 14" rotors with 6 piston calipers. Going to 15" should be beneficial. I also believe you can order slotted floating rotors instead of drilled.
After further review, Ford Press Kit says 15", Ford Sales Brochure says 14".
