Brake upgrades for the track after reviews

Just to be clear: what is shown as a "brembo gt" kit or part on zeckhausen's site is for an aftermarket brembo "gran turismo" kit, not a brembo mustang gt.
Use the links for the shelby gt500 on there if you want stuff in the right fitment.

I'm with ya now Drew. Trying to do this on my phone it wasn't easy to dig into their site to see what you meant.

. They also make a RC5+ compound which can be used on the street or with street tires on the track. I don't know if it is available in our size though. There catalog doesn't list any Mustang applications.

Just so you know, I'm using pads I bought for my Evo X on the Boss. And they were the same on my STI. I suspect that every OEM car that come equipped with Brembo, and cost under 100 000$, use the same front caliper.
Never heard of them.
Also be careful on that page you linked, you are in the brembo gt kit fitment. The pad shape and size are different, as is the thickness.
We need pad shape D1001 for the fronts and D1082 for rear. I already made this mistake once, lol.
Zeckhausen is a good source, I also like topbrakes.com

Thanks Drew. I clicked on Mustang GT so not sure why it linked to the wrong caliper. I used Zeckhausen when I had Stop Techs on my 350Z. Good company to deal with.

I used Zeckhausen to get my rebuild pieces for my Brembo GT500 and Porsche calipers.

The calipers take the same pads as the Brembo f40 caliper. Performance friction part number 7780.XX.18.44 for the fronts. XX=what compound you want so 01 for the 01s, 06 for the 06. I went with the 06s because they are supposed to be easier on rotors. I will let you guys know how they hold up and perform. Do some googling, performance friction probably makes the best pads for track use period but they are pricey at around $300 a set at most places.

Has anyone gone to a 2 piece front other than DBA?
I've been looking at these http://www.fulltiltboogieracing.com/s197_brakes.htm

One opinion I got on them was that they are a fixed two piece, and could 'cone' or distort as the rotor expands. I don't think it would be too much of an issue however.

DBA is also coming out with a new "T-slot" rotor series. That's why they were closing out the 5000s. I'll be looking for a new 2-piece so am interested in experiences with these as well as the new DBAs.
I've been looking at his rotors, but am not sure what is best. I am running a 14" Brembo setup on my 03 that uses the same pads/calipers as the GT500 and Boss.
