I'm new to this and am wondering how long the waits were for the newer shelbys, mustangs, etc. when new models were released. Does anybody recall how long the first month's cars sat before being released? I assume that past delays might not be indicative of what is happening now, but are we talking weeks or months? I need to sell my xterra before taking delivery of the Boss!

I'm getting a good chuckle out of it. But I'll be jealous in about two weeks when the first of you start receiving your cars.

 

Could it be the recaro and torsen package?

 

Last year the first cars were at the plant for 6-8 weeks before they were shipped.

 

That sucks - I hope that is not the case this time. What is ford doing to quality check the cars? Do they make extras (e.g., the media testers) and drive them around for a month to see if things break?

2012 on eBay missing the stripes.

 

There must be a reason for that missing stripe. Was the original stripe damaged in transit and the dealer removed the damaged one while waiting for a replacement?

I've got a 1st quarter build, no VIN; material hold, I'm really hoping I have the car before 21 May.

I sold my old track car and don't want to miss Camp Steeda at Sebring!

 

Seems odd as there have been several LS's built and the Recaros are standard on those.

 

Don't they have different logo stitching color - LS has red, std Boss are grayish ?
