According to my dealer, my CO was built 2/18/11 - 2/21/11 (Friday - Monday). It is undergoing a QC review with all of the other Bosses already manufactured, and should be released for transport shortly.

As Carly Simon sang: A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-I-O-N, it's making me wait!

 

My delivery date was just moved up two days. Updated yesterday (Sunday) afternoon from a March 14th delivery to a March 12th delivery.

That's a good sign.....

 

"Hope all is well. I’ve checked on your order this morning. The scheduled build day changed to Mar-01-2011. As of Feb-25-2011 it’s in Body Shop status. This means that your vehicle is in the first stage of production. It does have an ETA of Mar-19-2011. Please keep checking with me for updates."

 

I got the same update....Body Shop on 2/25....I didn't get a new ETA though. We both have the same Build Day and I'm a LOT closer to Detroit than you

 

MY2012 might just be the year of "NO LONG QC HOLDS"! Woohoo!

 

A train traveling at 60mph won't take long traveling the 2k miles, it's the truck at the other end I worry about.

 

I hope every gets the Boss soon but don't put much faith into the delivery date. My has been 3/1 for a while and today CS told me it is still 3/1. It shows in transit this time without the "lot 51" or whatever its called mixed in. If the car shows tomorrow I will be in complete shock since (supposedly) it was in the AAI lot 5 days ago. There was no info on any kind if shipping invoice, train or truck number.

If it does show tomorrow I will eat these words and you guys can celebrate as you will also see quick delivery.

Nope, did not even bother to call today, I will save the calls when I hear something or it shows on the dealers site.

 

My buddy says he will take pics of any Boss he happens to load/deliver.
He covers the area from around Northern Va. down to Central North Carolina and points East.

 

2012YellowBoss: I think that you're exactly right. Just talked to my dealer today, same status since the 27th, still sitting on the lot at Vreeland, still showing a March 12th delivery. Like the Shelby, when it hits the rail ramp, its like the Black Hole of Calcutta. Time slows down, entropy ensues, and the cars disappear for days and weeks.

I was wondering where you and Greg were at. Mine still says 3/1 delivery at the dealer, no updates. CS is telling me in transit but another source said it is still showing at ramp 51, as of 2/28. My best guess is the car is not being shipped because others are just plain ahead of it or there really is a QC hold on the Boss. It is also possible that there is a back up at VPC.

We know other 12's have hit the dealers but no Bosses.

 

I'm in that region. I wonder if he'll be hauling mine.

 

Here is what CS said about mine......

I’ve checked on your 2012 BOSS 302 order status and it shows your vehicle as awaiting shipment. It was produced on Feb-21-2011 and it has an ETA of Mar-08-2011 which is subject to change. Please keep checking with me for updates.

 

So it's been sitting for a week and a half. Mine was finished today, I wonder if the wait for shipping is linear.

 

I doubt anyone really knows. These dates mean nothing, look below. They are nothing more then computer generated dates assigned at the date of build. Here is mine and nothing has changed since the day the car rolled off the line 2/16.
