Boss has been shipped!

Unfortunately, the box cars spend more time stationary than moving. They don't just make the trip with a couple box cars loaded with Mustangs. CSX has also been a PITA lately. Order a railcar and it shows up 5-10 days after expected delivery. Hope that's not been the issue with Flat Rock.

Over 3 decades with the BNSF and one thing is always true, trains move at the speed of cold syrup, unless the the shipper pays big bucks for shipping on the highest priority Hot Shots. Trains spend more time stationary than on the move, unless big money is involved.

I only researched CSX, I do not know about Canadian national. It took about 15 minutes of Internet time to do this. Actually the post I got the info on was someone tracking a GTO a while ago. I already had the rail car # so it was easy.

I know the factory has a small rough road (track) they use for finding rattles. I don't know if every car is tested.
That being said, I sure don't want a dealer lot jockey playing around with it.

I told my dealer absolutely no test rides when it arrives. I will watch it come off the truck and go into the service dept for PDI. All build tags and papers are to be saved and I'll photo everything for provenance.

It mean's it's still at Ramp 51 waiting to be checked. SOmetimes (as I said before) First in doesn't always mean first out, it depends on who parks it; it may be buried a few cars in.

Another resaon first in/first out might not apply - transportation is waiting for a number of cars for the same geographic destination before loading a conveyance.

I'm not sure that your car will get moved. CN has lines all the way to the West Coast so your car may ride all the way out there on the same car. That car could get swapped to a different train a few times along the way though. I would imagine it will change in Chicago for sure.

Just found out from my Dealer that my delivery date is 3/21. Both of ours were shipped on 3/10, you are 850 miles away while I am 180 miles away. And yet, my car is only going to arrive 1 day earlier than yours. Maybe they are pushing mine from Flat Rock!
