Looks like they've upgraded the rotors and calipers since I was there or just the LS cars have different brakes. They probably upgraded the rotors after the stock ones wore out. The rotors are a wear item and don't have a significant impact on braking feel or performance for this discussion. The calipers on the GT500's have white lettering so that could explain the different color if they had to be replaced. I'm skeptical they upgraded the calipers. Gary, Andy, Scott, Charlie and I were all there the second week of BTA and they ran stock brakes with PFC pads.

Here's a regular Boss from Miller (the 4 car). It has non-stock rotors and calipers as well.

I was there in Oct 2011.

Interesting. Upgrading the rotors is no big deal but I wonder why they changed the calipers and which ones they are using?
