Boss beats Ferrari, Aston, R8 & AMG

Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca faster than Ferrari, Aston, Audi R8, AMG

Looks like the boys at Sport Auto finally shook off their wintry shivers and made it out to Hockenheim for a performance test with the Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca.

The limited edition Mustang surprised by clocking a time faster than the Aston Martin DBS, Ferrari California, Mercedes C 63 AMG Coupe, Audi R8 4.2 FSI quattro and BMW M3 Coupe.

Oh Lord.....2.5 seconds faster than the GT500. I can only wonder how some on this board will take that news.

Would be interesting to see how the other cars would compare if they were on the same R-comps.

Agree. I love my Boss and all, but I'd trade it in for one of these in a heartbeat.

Too bad they didn't compare it to the V12 Vantage or the 599. But maybe they wanted the Boss to win.

I think anyone here (with more than 2 brain cells to rub together) would rather have the AM or Ferrari... if for no other reason than to buy mulitiple BOSSes after selling them.

That said, what the article highlights that a car that can be had in the low 40s is outperforming cars way above its class.

For those questioning the brakes on the Boss............

Auto Sport's Christian Gebhardt tells WCF, "The braking performance of the 2012 Boss Laguna Seca was better than the Porsche 991 Carrera S with optional PCCB-brakes."

I was told that the brakes are stock at "Track Attack". I guess that is yet to be proven until I witness that in person.

No. The Brakes are not stock at TA. For safety reasons the fronts (maybe rears too) are replaced with upgraded Brembo calipers, rotors and PFC pads.
