Boss 302 TracKey

Great deal on the LS accessories! And kudos for tipping the salesman. More people should take care of the "service industry" like this. That guy will remember you.
I did not get any tenants with the purchase of my Boss.
(You've got to stop letting your puppy type your responses. :-)
Sorry about that, correcting spelling and grammar is one of my OCD quirks. It drives my family and colleagues crazy)
And if no one has said it, welcome to TMS. Glad you love your Boss. A lot of us are frustrated about the TK release. It has become a great source of humor and razzing between the Boss owners and others. All in good fun ( I think)

Thanks for the welcome to TMS! I know it is all in fun; I am thick shelled and I did not take any comments personal.
This is the only outlet a Boss owner has to blow off some steam!
My wife is tired of me fussing about TracKey and now my puppy bites me when I say the word “TracKey”. A Boss owner has a hard life.

I am starting to doubt if anyone at FCS or Ford Racing is able to answer my questions. Why the wait to announce TracKey at SEMA? Deysha, did you get my personal emails I sent you via TMS?

Heres a quote from an email from a Ford newsletter, I just got:
ENHANCE YOUR RIDE TracKey - Here's the Official Word TracKey for the 2012 Boss 302 has generated a lot of buzz on the enthusiast forums. Here's the real deal:
TracKey is an aftermarket option, available exclusively through Ford & Lincoln Dealers. The TracKey option consists of two components:
1. The download of the TracKey performance software and calibration. 2. The reprogramming of the red key to enable activation of the performance calibration.
The TracKey calibration has an MSRP of $302 plus dealer installation. TracKey works with the 2012 Mustang BOSS 302 and is currently supported in the United States & Canada. The availability of TracKey will be officially announced at SEMA on November 2nd. Official TracKey information, a video and photos are available at www.trackey.ford.com.

Jason, with the higher elevation at MMP you won't see much of any difference in power. In fact, at sea level I think the acceleration and power are better than the TrackKey tune at MMP. I finished there on Aug 31.

With all due respect and remember I said with all due respect the whining about the track key is so old now I have no more sympathy for it.
I feel like taking a track key and gouging my eyes out of their sockets at this point. If i hear one more time about how great the car is and how much better it is than anything on the road but I was promised a track key that I would have to pay more for and I'm gonna cry like a little ***** till I get one is old. It's to the point that it is comical.

And too remember all those TK comments owners have made based on their TrackAttach experience have been made on a "pre-certified" version of the software. Who knows what the final CARB version of the code will do for our engine.

Anyone who thinks it will turn it into a full blown race car will be disappointed.

I dont think it would change into a race car. But is the hype worth the price? lopey idle - cool, but not worth $500. Engine braking - nice, but I have other things I'm going to spend money on.
