BDavidson, when you put your red key in the ignition, do you see the dashboard readout that is shown in the picture at the top of this page?

It'll only take a minute to check it - we'd all appreciate it if you would tell us what you see

If you download the 2nd printing of the owner's manual from here, you will find a page highlighting two messages that will appear on your dash once the key is programmed. No messages = no TracKey. You can use this as proof with the dealer when you ask them why they robbed you.

To unlock track key your dealer needs to hook up Ids and go to module programing and to programigible parameters ic instrument cluster personality enable track key than go to body and track key enable it's a 2 step process I just did it a few weeks ago and there is no info I'n the workshop man or the owners man took me 2 hours to figure this out but it worked

The mystery deepens. Depending who you talked to at Ford during the Woodward weeks festivities, Trackey is not yet submitted for final approval, approved for distribution in about 90 days, awaiting approval, approved pending changes to lopey idle, etc. Only consistency was there are several versions of Trackey programming in the test, prototype and other Ford cars running it, all the "important" stuff is as intended and there is nothing additional to secretly unlock. Yep, we still don't know anymore than we did when this thread was last bumped and under no circumstances could I get anyone to plug their laptop into my Boss even though it looked like one guy briefly considered it before reconsidering his career. My bet, lopey idle will be compromised at some level from how the engineers has passionately hoped to deliver it. I'm guessing separately controlled, less aggressive and only idling not cruising. Waiting to see and hoping to be blown away none the less.

It would appear that the rumour of the Trac Key program being released Sept 1st is wrong. Which actually doesn't matter that much because I can't remember where my Red Key is anymore anyway,.... :

If it were not toned down from their original tune, you would already have it.
I don't think CARB liked the emissions of the original IMO.

Why does CARB matter?
Just release Track Key for the other 49 states, and not Calif.
Being in Canada I can't see how ANYTHING to do with CARB applies to us. Give US the **** key and screw the U.S.

Yeah, Right, I don't think so...
"On April 1,2010 the United States and Canada did something unprecedented, and it was not an April Fool’s joke: the two countries announced simultaneously a new set of vehicle emissions standards, coordinated to be identical in both countries."
