Wow! How did I miss out on all of this fun? I'll have to check in more often.

Prior to this CARB mess, a lot of us had to decided to buy TracKey the instant it became available.
Curious - Who's changed their mind and is now going to wait to see if TracKey was dumbed-down, lost it's idle rumble, etc.?

Glad to get back on theme. And a very good question.
I believe the luster of trackkey has certainly been tarnished. I was going to purchase as soon as released, but have now reconsidered.
I will be looking at other options which present themselves.
It's really too bad for Ford.
Ford Racing could have done a much better job of communicating to the Boss owners on what was (or was not) happening.

Still planning to buy it first thing, unless my 5/60 powertrain warranty expires before it's released, which could happen at this rate...

I almost think it would have been better to get it through CARB, then just pop it up as a "by the way" moment for '13, and mention that it was pre-equipped on the '12 model as well.
I hope, for all the owners sakes, that it is a substantial update for the car, and that people enjoy it. I do, however, enjoy the humor surrounding it.

The car runs HARD on the track without the key, I'm very interested to see what it'll do WITH the key.

Frankly, folks; Those of us that have done the 'Track Attack" program; it is well worth the minimal expense. First Class all the way. Don't expect any major HP or Performance changes from the "Key".
From my perspective, it will only allow "launch control" for those that are not track folks. Other than that my Boss has better performance at Houston, TX elevations. It's a great car that is also a collectible. Treat is as you wish.

I love the cars, and respect the niche they fill, but I got a chuckle out of that statement. Wait 5 years and try to trade it in and then come back and tell us how "collectible" it is. You may be in for a rude awakening. Ask those Shelby guys that bought 07-09 GT500's how that worked out for them. Or the Bullitt guys, or the Shelby GT guys.

I agree, its a wonder Special Edition car but the only ones that might be collectable would be the #0001 s and that 2012 School bus Yellow, which is the only one produced.
Your better off taking 45k and putting in the bank and getting a better return then what these cars would get in years to come, plus you would be old and kids will just sell it right away.LoL
