BOSS 228 GETS TRACKEY 11/18/11
More Info from Ford....
It kind of sounds like to me that the masses who have purchased the Track Key are reaching out blindly trying to figure out exactly what to expect with the changes that have been built into this program. Aside from the lopey idle and launch control what else has been changed and why. Ford stated that ~200 parameters have been altered and that this map is replicating features they have built into the factory race cars, which as far as I've seen are aimed at road racing. To me, I think it would be reasonable and prudent for Ford to issue an Engineering narrative to explain in general allot of these changes and benefits to the user on the track. JMO...
Yeah except ford has been extremely tight lipped about the whole track key. Misleading you tube videos that corporate turns around to say, "we never said it would sound like that" & "an aftermarket tune that won't take away from your factory warranty" woops, thats not what we meant
I LOVE TRACKEY!!!

Idle sounds good not John Force`s Mustang but noticeable different.
Engine retarding at high RPM hits hard!!
I set Launch Control at 4000 RPM Tried it out with traction control off Very Nice
Set the Pitt Lane Speed I think it would be a little clumsy to do under race conditions.
I did notice a little detonation under hard throttle lower RPM (2000 to 2800) and I am using 93 octane which is little concerning.
All in all I am back in Trackey is COOL

It is designed such that when the clutch pedal is depressed, the maximum engine speed is limited to a driver selectable value. When the clutch pedal is released, the engine is allowed to accelerate to the normal maximum engine speed limit. This allows for more consistent launches at the drag strip or at the starting line of a road course.
