Anyone looking for a bad deal on a Black LS?
Mac Haik Ford Houston, TX had a silver LS in stock back in April. Don't know if it sold yet.

MSRP is $79,000 so looks like they're selling below MSRP to me.

I think the difference between the Cobra Jet ADM and the 302S ADM is that the Cobra Jet is limited to 50 production units. This is done for NHRA rules.
I've seen several interviews with Ford where they state that they will make as many 302S as are ordered within a certain time frame. If the demand is there, Ford will build it and therefore, many more than just 50 will be built.

Good question on the Silver vs Black LS and markups? We have data on several Black LS's selling at well above MSRP (over 50%), I wonder if we have any real deals on Silver models with similar ADM?
It seems there is more demand for Black, but the dealers have ordered mostly black. An LS seems to be an LS price to the dealers here, regardless of color.
There was a silver LS at the dealership near Denver where I found my KB Boss. They were asking 78 for it, but I believe it finally sold for 76 to a guy in Montana. I wasn't crazy about the silver and red when I first saw it in pictures, but in person, it was a mean looking machine. It looked really nice sitting next to the KB GT500 that they had in the showroom.
It seems like early on that people we locking in deals on LS's for MSRP or no more than $5k over MSRP, a few even under MSRP if that is to be believed. Now we see $20k-$25K ADM's, this seems outrageous. Like someone said, if you are picking up an LS for the track, why not pick up a 302S for similar money?
I still think this is short-lived and people who jump at these huge markups are going to regret it later, it almost never works out well financially. Of course, must not be an issue for these buyers.

Thanks for all the information on the Silver Boss 302 LS Mustangs. To me, the Silver Boss 302 LS just looks faster and more racy than the Black Boss 302 LS. The black LS may look good on the street, but the silver LS would look better on the track. I am happy to hear there are silver Boss 302 LS Mustangs in the hands of some dealers and owners. Hopefully, we will see more on the street and track.
