I see pricing is out and the SS is starting almost right at 38k.
The alpha stuff is great and and I'm sure the Camaro will prove faster and a well equipped GT is about the same but I think the price of entry and the derivative styling is going to make a bit harder sell for the F-car

The new Camaro is sweet though and will probably put a damper on the S550 sales. Probably not enough to tip the market back towards GM in my head though.

FINALLY!!!!! The Camaro FINALLY looks good on the exterior. The interior looks better too from what I could see in this video. That hood is ballsy!
Just need to get rid of that silly spoiler that is currently on there and add a nice high rise duck tail spoiler.

Not that I'd by a current Camaro, but I actually prefer the look of the current car. Not feeling the lower front facia or the rear roof lines on the 2016

In overview, at a distance--I like the looks. However, zoom in and its shape loses a lot of appeal factoring in the details. Due to the shape of the fender and the hood, the front clip has some very odd looking panel lines. The shape of the hood, is off-putting is well. Given the way the fenders were designed, I can see why its shape was made, but it reminds me of an elongated toilet seat cover.
The fake 'gills' are gone in front of the rear wheels; but the very pronounced panel line that occupies the space in their place is in no way attractive. I understand why the designers added some character lines on the rear fascia--it does break up the otherwise bland, bulky-looking rear end, but it winds up looking awkward.
Put me down as a distant admirer of the 2016 Camaro--the further the distance, the more I admire it.
