Anyone looking for a bad deal on a Black LS?

Just got an offer from a dealer in Houston who has a Black LS on its way and they claim to have a buyer for $72,990 and want to know if I (or anyone else) would like to up the offer and purchase this car? I am guessing that is a $25K or more ADMGood grief!

Which dealer? Mac Haik?

The least they could do is give you a reach around with that offer.

Planet59 Ford in Humble claim they sold their LS for $85,000 without ever advertising. Thet have a RR 302 with Recaros and car cover advertused for $70,000. They said they were looking for the "right buyer"!

The LS was sold at Champion Ford, Katy, TX for $20k over sticker. Viewed it myself tonight. It sold within 4 hours. Who is this prudent buyer? Could have gone to Mac Haik down I-10 and got one for $10k less. It's build LS197; nothing special. Would look a lot better with black 10 spoke wheels instead of the garish red scheme.

11 years later, people that bought R's for $85k are now getting $30-40k for them if they have low mileage. Now the new in wrapper ones might get north of $60k. Just for informations sake.

Sorry folks, dealer just told me they sold it last night, $72,990. Yikes, I am very surprised dealers are getting this kind of markup in this economy.

The reach around carries anothjer ADM. It's an option.

the number of people that buy things without dong any research on pricing or how it works never ceases to amaze me. then again, it could be someone with boatloads of money that 72k is nothing to. the guy that bought my boss did not bat an eye, us normal folk will likely never understand what it is to truly mean money is no object.

If the buyer really wanted the car for its intended purpose, he could have spent another $3k for the 302S. No brainer IMO. Talk about buyer's remorse.

I suspect any of these buyers realize they are paying way more than they have to but the amount is so insignificant to them, they don't care. They are treating themselves by not shopping/haggling for such a small purchase. Not much different than a lot of people paying 5 times what a cup of coffee is worth at a Starbucks.

IMO, for the people paying huge ADMs for these cars, it's not that money is no object. They just have a different point where its an object. I was talking to a guy (friend of a friend) who was absolutely miserable because somebody outbid him on a Greek island he wanted. His wife was pissed and he just knew he would never find another one as nice for $50,000,000! And the odds are the guy that outbid him didn't mind paying more since it was such a small purchase for him. LoL

Bottom line, if you can buy a Starbucks coffee, you may be just as happy financially as everyone else except maybe the ONE who has the most.

i bet the markups on those 302s cars will be along the lines of the cobra jets though.
