thanks cloud9!I'm going to have it updated tomorrow....I'm glad we got this sorted before I had any episdode of limp modes on the track...my first day out will be the 27th at WSIR!

interestingly, this isn't the first car that I owned to have this issue. My merc G500 would get misfire codes when you put on mud terrains, aggressive m/t's. But it wouldn't get the misfire codes when I'm out offroading, stangely. I guess the harmonics/vibations of the MT's would mimic a misfire to the crank sensor.

just thought I would add that my car seems to be having this issue too. Have had the CEL flash for a minute then go off a few times and one time it did stay on. When I went to clear the code it was a misfire #4 cylinder.
